Never a pen !
Sadly that's why the game needs more technology.

Sold - what about if you pick up the ball with both hands inside the box in a moment of madness?

Blind justice , I thought. Although I was really hoping Spurs would lose, they did keep pressing until the end. The defender accidentally touched the ball but as he was trying to foul Rose anyway (blocking a run with your arm is a foul, even these days), his hand had no good reason to be where it was. The defender is probably used to getting away with holding etc. so I wasn't bothered that he conceded a penalty this time.

I thought Dyer deliberately flicked the ball away, and I say that as a Tottenham and Danny Rose hater. So regrettably I say Lineker,Shearer and O'Neill are talking bollocks?

Re: Sunday Soccer

to clarify, there are actually three types of handball: 1) an unavoidable accident 2) an arm moved from the player’s side, risking being struck by the ball 3) a deliberate striking of the ball with the arm The appropriate courses of action by the referee are respectively: 1) no action 2) a free-kick or penalty 3) a free-kick or penalty AND a caution
Looks like the ref used option 3.... extremely soft but ....???

In all honesty if the Ref sees that clearly its 50/50 could be given or not, but for me it was a penalty.

His hand is there because he is jostling with Rose for the ball and trying to lever him away. Nonsense decision

Seeing it again I cannot understand how that was intentional or how the ref saw that, yet he was very quick to award it.
